Becoming the Woman I Needed — Choosing Myself, With Faith

Even now… I am still finding myself. The questions haven’t completely disappeared. The path isn’t fully clear. But something feels different. This time… I am choosing myself. Not in a loud or dramatic way — but in small, quiet moments every day. Doing things I love. Focusing on my wellbeing. Listening to what feels right for me. This journey is slow. Sometimes slower than I expect. Sometimes slower than I want. But I’m no longer fighting that pace. Because somewhere within me… there is a calm I didn’t have before. A steady, grounded peace. I’m not as worried anymore. Not because I have everything figured out — but because I believe I’m being guided. I feel it deeply… That God has brought me this far for a reason. That even now, whatever is happening… is His will. And whatever will happen… will also unfold the way it’s meant to. And that belief holds me. It gives me strength in moments of doubt. It gives me peace in moments of uncertainty. I may not see the direction clearly yet… But I trust that I’m moving towards something. Something that is meant for me. Something that will make sense of all of this one day. And in the middle of this journey… I can feel another shift happening. I don’t want to be the same version of me anymore. The one who over-explains. The one who is always available. The one who feels the need to be everything for everyone else. I’m slowly stepping away from that. Not completely… but consciously. I want to be there for myself too. To protect my energy. To honour my space. To choose where I give and where I don’t. And I know that takes confidence. A kind of confidence I’m still building. But this time… it feels different. It’s not about proving anything to anyone. It’s about becoming secure within myself. Even if it takes time. Even if I’m still figuring things out. Because I know this now — I am closer to myself than I’ve ever been. Closer to understanding what I want. Closer to becoming who I’m meant to be. And even if I don’t see the full picture yet… I believe I will. And until then… I will keep choosing myself. I will keep trusting. I will keep becoming.
