Choosing yourself without losing urself
But choosing yourself doesn’t mean ignoring your responsibilities. It doesn’t mean stepping away from motherhood or the roles life has given you. Those parts of life still matter deeply.
It simply means allowing yourself the space to exist as a person too.
To pause, to breathe, to reconnect with who you are beyond the responsibilities you carry every day.
Maybe there is someone out there who feels exactly the way I do right now — someone who is quietly trying to figure themselves out while still showing up for their family, their work, and their life. If even one person reads this and feels a little less alone, or finds the courage to start their own journey of self-discovery, then sharing my thoughts will have been worth it.
Be your own person.
I am still figuring things out myself, and I’m in no rush. But at the same time, I think it’s important to try to see beyond the responsibilities that fill our days. Sometimes the small things we enjoy — the walks, the quiet moments, the writing, the things that make us feel alive — might slowly turn into something more meaningful.
Maybe even a passion.
Who knows? Writing might become mine. I truly don’t know yet.
For now, I’m simply allowing myself to slow down, reconnect, and rediscover who I am — one day at a time — until the path becomes a little clearer.
