Grateful… yet still searching

In the process of finding myself and choosing myself, I’ve realized something important. I am grateful. Grateful for waking up every day. For breathing. For my children, my family, the love around me. For a home I can call mine. On the outside, there is so much to be thankful for. And I truly feel it. But somewhere, quietly, there’s another feeling that exists alongside that gratitude. A question. Over the years… did I miss something? Did I forget to give something to myself? While I was busy keeping everyone happy, fulfilling responsibilities, doing what needed to be done… Where was I in all of this? It’s a strange feeling. To have everything… and still feel like there’s a part of you you haven’t met yet. I don’t regret my life. I don’t take anything for granted. But I can’t ignore this voice inside me anymore. The one that asks — What about me? And maybe this is where it all begins. Not with clarity. Not with a perfect plan. But with awareness. With choosing myself, even when I don’t fully understand what that looks like yet. With taking small steps — writing, walking, sitting in silence, listening to my own thoughts. Trying to reconnect with a part of me that got lost somewhere along the way. I don’t know where this path will take me. I don’t know what I will become. But I do know this… I want to meet the version of me that exists beyond responsibilities. The version of me that feels alive, fulfilled, and truly her own person. Maybe this is the beginning. Of becoming. Of healing. Of discovering what I truly want. And maybe, somewhere in this process… I’ll find my passion. I’ll find my direction. But for now, I’m not rushing. I’m just choosing myself. And maybe that, in itself… is the first step to finding who I really am.
