The Guilt of Wanting Something for Herself

Now here’s the part no one talks about. The moment she decides to do something she likes — Go out with friends. Start a course. Work on her dream. Sit alone with a cup of coffee in silence. even just watching her phone. Suddenly, she’s questioned. “Who’s watching the kids?” “Why is this more important than your home?” “You’ve changed.” " your addicted to your phone" And just like that, guilt enters the room. She begins to shrink again. To explain herself. To justify her joy. As if her happiness needs permission. Here Is the Truth You are not meant to disappear inside your responsibilities. You are not meant to live a life where your needs are always last. You are not meant to feel guilty for having interests, dreams, desires, or boundaries. You are allowed to: • Rest. • Grow. • Say no. • Enjoy your life. • Be more than someone’s mother or wife. Doing everything does not mean accepting disrespect. Sacrificing does not mean silencing yourself.
