When You Slowly Lose Your Voice
Sometimes we make choices not because they come from our own desires, but because they sound right when someone else says them.
We trust their advice.
We believe their intentions are good.
And often they are.
But what is good for someone else may not always be right for us.
Slowly, without even realizing it, we begin to follow paths that belong more to others than to ourselves.
We listen to everyone’s opinions, everyone’s expectations, everyone’s plans.
And somewhere in the middle of all those voices, our own voice becomes quiet.
