Becoming the Woman I Needed — I Am Stronger Than I Think I Am 🌿

Lately… I’ve been telling myself something I never truly believed before — I am stronger than I think I am. Not because everything is easy. Not because I have it all figured out. But because… even after everything… I’m still here. Still trying. Still showing up. Still moving forward. There are days when I feel weak. When my heart feels heavy. When my mind is full of doubts. When anxiety quietly takes over. And in those moments… I feel like I can’t do this. Like I’m not strong enough. But then… I look at myself closely. And I realise — I’ve been through so much. Things I didn’t think I would ever handle. Moments that broke me. Changed me. Shook me from within. And yet… I didn’t stop. I kept going. Even when I didn’t want to. Even when I felt lost. Even when I didn’t understand anything. And maybe… that itself is strength. Not being perfect. Not being fearless. But continuing even when you’re scared. I used to think strength means being confident all the time. Not crying. Not feeling weak. But now I see it differently. Strength is… feeling everything and still choosing to move ahead. Crying and still standing up. Doubting yourself and still taking a step forward. That’s strength. And I’ve been doing that. Slowly. Quietly. Without even realising it. There are still moments when I feel like that lost girl. The one who is unsure. The one who is trying to find her way back. But maybe… she’s not as lost as I think. Maybe she’s just growing. Becoming. Learning who she really is. And sometimes… that growth shows up in everyday moments. Like buying something for myself. Or spending time with friends. Or simply going out and doing what I love. Even then… I feel that familiar anxiety. That thought — Should I tell my partner? What if I get questioned? What if I have to explain everything? And my heart starts racing again. That feeling… of always needing to answer. To explain. To justify. Even when I don’t have to. But then I pause. And I remind myself — Why do I feel guilty for living my own life? Why do I feel like I need permission for things that bring me peace? And that’s when I come back to myself. To my truth. I have the right to make my own choices. To spend my time the way I want. To do things I love. To live freely in my own life. I am not answerable to anyone except myself and God. And choosing myself… should not come with guilt. So now… even if the fear is still there… I choose differently. I don’t let that fear control me. I don’t let it take away my right to live my life. Because this is part of my healing too. Learning to stand in my choices. Learning to not shrink. Learning to not feel guilty for being myself. I still have fear. I still have anxiety. I still have moments where I feel like I’m not enough. But I don’t stop anymore. I don’t give up on myself. Because deep down… I know something has changed. There is a strength in me now that wasn’t there before. A quiet strength. Not loud. Not visible to everyone. But real. And steady. My faith in God has held me together through everything. When I didn’t believe in myself… I believed in Him. And maybe that’s what gave me the strength to keep going. To not break completely. To stand again. So now… I remind myself — I am stronger than I think I am. Even on the days I feel weak. Even when I doubt myself. Even when I don’t see it clearly. Because strength is not about never falling. It’s about getting up… again and again. And I’ve done that. I’m still doing that. And I will keep doing that. Until one day… I won’t have to remind myself anymore. I will just know it. I will feel it. I will live it. That I was always stronger than I ever gave myself credit for 🌿
