Becoming the Woman I Needed — I Choose Myself Without Guilt Now

I’ve started choosing myself. And for the first time… I’m trying to do it without guilt. But if I’m being honest… it’s not that easy. There is still fear. Still anxiety. Still moments where I feel scared as if I’m doing something wrong. Because for so long… I was used to doing everything for everyone. Being available. Fulfilling expectations. Putting myself last. So now… when I choose myself… it feels unfamiliar. But I’m learning. Slowly. I’m not forcing anything anymore. I’m just… flowing. Letting life take me where it needs to. I don’t have all the answers yet. I still don’t know exactly what I want from life. And that used to bother me. But now… it doesn’t the same way. Because I’ve found something else instead — small moments of peace. My children… they are my biggest strength. The little things they do, their laughter, their innocence… it brings a smile to my face in a way nothing else can. With them… I become a child again. And in those moments… I forget everything else. No overthinking. No worrying about what’s next. Just being. And maybe… that’s what I needed all along. I’ve started enjoying my own company too. Going out alone. Sitting with myself. Spending time in nature. Going for walks. Listening to God’s hymns… There is a calm in it. A quiet peace. I feel like I’m slowly coming back to myself. Healing. Not just emotionally… but in every way. Spiritually. Mentally. Even physically. Taking care of myself. Eating better. Looking after my body. For the first time… it feels like I matter to me. I still don’t know where I’m going. I’m still searching. Still figuring things out. But I trust one thing — Whatever God has planned for me… will be right for me. And that gives me peace. So I’m not rushing anymore. I’m not forcing answers. I’m just living. Feeling. Healing. Growing. And choosing myself… a little more each day. Without guilt. Without questioning it. Because I deserve this. I deserve to live my life in a way that feels true to me. And maybe… this is what becoming looks like. Not having everything figured out… but still choosing yourself anyway 🌿
