Becoming the Woman I Needed — I Will Move at My Own Pace 🌿

I’ve realised something… No matter what you do, there will always be people who point out what you didn’t do. They will notice your flaws. Your mistakes. The things you’re still learning. And sometimes… they will say it in front of others too. Without thinking how it makes you feel. Without caring if it makes you feel small… or even humiliated. And for a long time… I let that affect me. I would question myself. Doubt myself. Feel like I wasn’t good enough. But now… I see it differently. Because no matter what you do… people will still find something to say. So I’ve decided — I will do what I like. No matter what. Because even if you try your best… even if you do everything right… someone will still try to put you down. And I’ve seen it in the smallest things. Like learning how to drive. You take a wrong turn… you go a little out of lane… and immediately someone says — “You’ve learned driving and still this?” “Look, others have already gone ahead.” And I sit there thinking… How does that even matter? I’m driving at my own pace. What does it have to do with what others are doing? Why do we compare everything? Why do we feel the need to match someone else’s speed? Life doesn’t work like that. Everyone learns differently. Everyone grows differently. And I’ve realised something important — People will judge you no matter what you do. So why not just do what feels right to you? Why not go at your own pace? Because when you actually succeed… those same people don’t come to celebrate you. They don’t come and say — “You did well.” So why give their words so much importance? Now… I just want to be my own person. Do what I love. Learn at my own speed. Take my time without feeling rushed. Because everything takes time. Whether it’s learning something new… cooking… working… or just figuring yourself out. There is no race. Let people go ahead. Let them say whatever they want. You keep moving… at your own pace. And honestly… it’s not always people outside. Sometimes… it’s your own family. They will comment on how you dress, how you talk, how you sit, how you drive, how you cook… As if they have the right to decide what’s right for you. And that hurts more. Because you expect understanding… but get criticism instead. But now… I’m learning to ignore it. Because I’ve understood something clearly — We are all equal. No one is superior. No one has the right to make you feel less. And no one can define your worth. Not anymore. I’ve spent years doing everything for everyone. Trying to be enough. Trying to be right. Trying to be accepted. But in the end… I realised something very simple — No one can truly judge you. Only you can. Only you know your effort. Your intentions. Your journey. So now… I choose to keep moving. Even if I’m still scared. Even if I’m still figuring things out. I’m finding my path. Slowly. With faith in God. With hope that everything will work out someday. Until then… I will keep going. I will heal. I will protect my peace. I will reconnect with myself. Because maybe… that’s the best thing we can do. And maybe… in the process… we will finally find who we are meant to be 🌿
