Becoming the Woman I Needed — I Am Learning To Let Life Unfold

Lately… I’ve stopped trying to control everything. I just let things be. No stress. No overthinking like before. And the reason is simple — I’ve seen that no matter how much you try to do good… be good… think good for others… it’s never enough. Either you are ignored. Or your words don’t matter. Or you are pushed aside. Or made to feel like you don’t understand anything. And after a point… you start asking yourself — What is the point? If your intentions are not valued… if your effort is not seen… then maybe it’s better to just let life be. To stop trying so hard for others and start being there for yourself. Because at least with yourself… there is no judgement. No proving. No explaining. No feeling like you are not enough. I’ve realised… sometimes people think they know better than you. Like you are not capable. Like you don’t understand life. But I know what I’ve done. I’ve managed a whole house. Raised my kids. Learned everything on my own — cooking, driving, handling things. I’ve built a life. A life that many people cannot manage. And still… there are questions. “What have you done?” “What is your contribution?” And for a moment… it makes you doubt yourself. But then I pause. And I remind myself — I don’t need to prove my life to anyone. So now… I choose something different. I let life unfold. At its own pace. Without rushing to figure everything out. Without forcing answers. I am in no hurry anymore. I trust that God will guide me. That wherever I am meant to be… I will reach there. And in that thought… I calm down. I don’t have all the answers. I still wonder what I want to do. I still feel that urge to do something for myself. I see others doing things and sometimes I question myself — What about me? Have I done enough? But then I realise… maybe I am already doing more than I give myself credit for. And maybe… this phase is not about doing more. It’s about understanding myself. Healing. Slowing down. Living small moments. Because this time… it won’t come back. So I try to enjoy it. Even if it’s just sitting with myself. Even if it’s doing something small. I am learning. Slowly. I am healing. Gradually. Yes… I still feel scared sometimes. Even walking alone feels uncomfortable. But I still do it. For myself. Because something inside me tells me — keep going. There is a slight calm now. A “whatever comes, I will handle it” kind of feeling. And maybe… that is growth. Maybe healing is not about having all the answers. Maybe it’s about moving forward even when you don’t. So if you ask me — am I on the right path? I think… yes. Because I am not stuck anymore. I am moving. Even without answers. Even with fear. And maybe that’s enough for now
