Becoming the Woman I Needed — I Am Learning To Find Magic In Ordinary Days 🌿
For a long time, I thought happiness would arrive one day.
When life became easier.
When people changed.
When problems disappeared.
When everything finally felt perfect.
But healing has taught me something beautiful:
Happiness is not waiting for me somewhere in the future.
It is already here.
Hidden in ordinary days.
These days, I find joy in the simplest things.
A quiet coffee.
A dessert date.
A peaceful walk.
A visit to the temple.
A morning prayer.
A few moments of silence before the day begins.
Things I once overlooked have become the moments I treasure most.
The other day, while sitting with a coffee and dessert, I caught myself smiling.
Nothing extraordinary had happened.
There were still responsibilities waiting for me.
There were still things in life I was figuring out.
But for that moment, I felt peaceful.
Present.
Content.
And I realized something:
Life does not have to be perfect for us to enjoy it.
For so many years, I was focused on surviving.
Fixing.
Worrying.
Overthinking.
Waiting for things to get better.
Now I am learning to slow down and appreciate what is already here.
The warmth of a cup of coffee.
A meaningful conversation.
The comfort of a familiar prayer.
The peace I feel when I enter a temple and leave my worries at God’s feet.
These small moments may seem ordinary to others, but they have become part of my healing.
Because healing isn’t always found in big breakthroughs.
Sometimes it is found in everyday moments that remind you life is still beautiful.
I no longer wait for perfect circumstances to allow myself happiness.
I create joy where I can.
I make time for the things that make my heart feel lighter.
I choose experiences that bring me peace instead of constantly chasing what is missing.
My faith has taught me to be present.
To trust that God is taking care of tomorrow while I appreciate today.
To stop rushing through life and start living it.
And maybe that is one of the greatest lessons I have learned.
The ordinary moments are not ordinary at all.
They are the moments that quietly heal us.
So these days, my motto is simple:
Life gives you lemons? Have a coffee, order dessert, say a prayer, and keep going.
Because happiness is often found in the little things we once took for granted.
And sometimes, those little things are everything. 🌿☕🍰
